Our shop is on Cameron Street, right here in Shelby. Drive by and you'll probably see awnings in progress. We've installed on homes and businesses all over town — from Uptown Shelby to the neighborhoods off 74. If you've seen an awning around here, there's a good chance we built it.
40 Years in Shelby
The Awning Shop has been part of Cleveland County since before most of the buildings on S. Lafayette Street had awnings on them. We're a division of Colored Metal Products, a metal fabrication company that's been on Cameron Street since 1984 — and we haven't left.
Over four decades, we've outfitted hundreds of homes and businesses across Shelby and the surrounding area. We've built awnings for restaurants in Uptown, patio covers for homes around City Park, storefront awnings along the 74 corridor, and shade systems for lakefront properties on Moss Lake. If it needs shade in Cleveland County, we've probably built it.
